If you’re a newbie wondering what to put on your schedule for the in-person event at the Chicago conference, here’s a suggestion.

Start the morning with Welcome Aboard. Hurry to get one of the limited spots aboard. You will get a full morning of sailing. Or choose to hear ideas from a panel of all star women sailors who specialize in getting women started in sailing. Then you can learn and practice marlinespike — sailor talk for crafting useful sailing knots.

At lunch you can enjoy time with your new shipmates and/or hear from five notable women sailors. After lunch you have choices such as Look Outside the Boat, a tour of the joys of sailing, or sign up for a pragmatic session on the Rules of the Road for sailing. But wait! There’s more! Uh oh! The last session is a chance to hone self-sufficiency and problem solving skills — valuable on the water.

Then socialize at a mixer with your newfound shipmates!

The possibilities are good you can build a schedule to learn a new skill or deepen your exisiting knowledge. We can’t wait to see you again, or meet you for the first time.
