Celebrating our 25th year of producing this Conference for women sailors by women sailors. We welcome you in 2024, to New Orleans at Southern Yacht Club and Community Sailing New Orleans.

We are excited to have you explore the many workshops with instructors that are eager to Share Sailing with women sailors of all levels and interests. Funds raised during the conference help support our AdventureSail program for girls as well as our scholarships. We are thrilled to have you aboard!

A presentation from the woman who started it all!

 

We are honored to have the designer of the Women’s Sailing Convention model present at the June 8th New Orleans Conference.

Gail Hine is a former long-time editor of NWSA’s Take the Helm® newsletter and an emerita Women’s Sailing Foundation (WSF)/National Women’s Sailing Association (NWSA) board member. She was also the 2002 Leadership in Women’s Sailing honoree. The Leadership in Women’s Sailing Award (LIWSA) was established and co-sponsored by NWSA and BoatUS® to honor an individual with a record of achievement of inspiring, educating and enriching the lives of women through sailing. Gail Hine certainly has a long record of doing just that. The Award has been earned by stellar sailors who have dedicated a good deal of their lives to the sport of sailing and to increasing the opportunities for women sailors in all aspects of the sport.

Silent Auction and Raffle to benefit NWSA AdventureSail® and Scholarships

Saturday, June 8
5 pm  – 7 pm @ Southern Yacht Club

Registrants have a chance to unwind, network and support NWSA’s efforts to raise money for AdventureSail® program and sailing scholarships. Snacks and a cash bar will be offered . Come as you are! Wind swept hair-do’s are welcome!
