OFFERING DIVERSITY

September 11, 2021
The 20th National Women’s Sailing Conference will be at the Jackson Park Yacht Club in Chicago!

Our theme “Sharing Sailing” will celebrate women who teach, coach and find ways to invite women aboard. Women sailors attending this educational event will find new opportunities to connect with friends, make new shipmates, perhaps discover a new place to sail, and of course, learn new skills.

This in-person event will reboot the social/educational element of our programming! For women who prefer not to travel, we took what we learned to offer a rich selection of topics for an on-line conference as well.

We are cautiously reentering the realm of in person engagements.

WHAT WE LEARNED IN 2020

The success of NWSA’s OLÉ – On Line Expo showed us the enormous benefits for hosting on-line events, learning opportunities and panels. As a nation-wide association, we reached and served many more of our members through on-line outreach than was previously possible.

And we also grew to deeply understand the human need to engage in sharing a common experience and place. We are committed to continue both traditional and new methods of program delivery.

Corinthian Yacht Club Marblehead

OFFERING A TWIST ON TRADITION
June 5, 2021

After 18 years of in-person gathering for a Women’s Sailing Conference in Marblehead, it grew to be an event many women looked forward to all year. So we plan to continue the tradition of supporting a Marblehead conference the first Saturday in June.

Because of the early summer 2021 date, we recognize the odds for a safe, fully in-person gathering to learn and socialize at the Corinthian Yacht Club were unfavorable. Don’t despair! NWSA plans a drive/sail up event for June 5. We fully support the return of a 2022 Marblehead.
