Monday, November 7 2022 Adventure sailor Jeannie Zortman and lifelong cruiser, liveaboard and author, Rebecca Stirling are our special “Cruise” guests for an evening of story telling hosted by Debbie Hunstman. Jeannie shares her voyage to the far North on a steel boat with a desire to capture on film the elusive Polar bear in its natural habitat. Did she capture the moment when he crested out of the water or would the sighting remain forever in her mind? Watch and find out!

Rebecca, author of “The Shell & The Octopus” recounts her life sailing the World with her free-spirited Dad and his wide variety of boat companions and land cohorts. She grew up on the high seas on a 1971 32 foot boat built in Hong Kong with no refrigeration, no hot water, no electronics! Rebecca recounts a day, after her Dad’s death, where she faces the challenge of “going it alone” on the “torture chamber” offshore of Washington State. After surviving a knuckle biting storm, does she keep her childhood boat? Listen to find out! Learn more about Rebecca at www.rebeccastirlingwriter.com
